Job Description

Responsibilities

- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water flow patterns and flood risks, proposing effective mitigation measures.
- Design sustainable stormwater and drainage systems using AutoCAD, GIS, InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, or similar tools.
- Oversee planning, design, and implementation of drainage projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to resolve design and implementation challenges.
- Ensure delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and technical quality standards, including QA, HSE, and sustainability requirements.
- Assist in preparing fee proposals and maintaining financial control of projects.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory approvals.
- Conduct site inspections to collect data and evaluate drainage system performance.
- Provide technical support and advice to engineers, planners, and construction managers.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring performance and professional development.
- Participate in client meetings, reviews, and presentations to represent the firm effectively.

Requirements

- 12+ years of experience with reputed Indian or multinational engineering design firms.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (mandatory).
- Master's degree in Hydrology/Water Resources Engineering (preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification desirable.
- Proven expertise in hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment, and SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) design.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, GIS, InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.
- International project experience is an added advantage.
