Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and employment issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure they align with company policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct legal research to stay current with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary, ensuring effective communication and coordination on legal matters.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage legal disputes and litigation, including working with external counsel and representing the organization in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Conduct legal training sessions for employees to enhance their understanding of legal issues and risk management.
- Stay informed about industry-specific regulations and trends that could impact the organization's operations.
- Provide support and guidance in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal professionals, fostering their growth and development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in law (LLB) from an accredited institution; mastemaster'srs degree or additional certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in legal roles, with 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law, including commercial law, contract law, intellectual property, and employment law.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and review.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice that aligns with business objectives.
- Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases and resources.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Membership in a relevant legal association or bar association is preferred.
