Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job: The Modern Workplace Architect will be contributing to solution and architecture design initiatives, project implementations & operational support set ups and optimizations. This position is part of Global Microsoft and Workplace services team that is tasked with providing Nouryon users with a portfolio of efficient, robust and secured modern workplace & infrastructure services. We aim to provide the most productive experience for our users and their business. The Modern Solution Architect will work in a multi-disciplinary and agile environment. We are looking for a knowledgeable, accessible, and committed individual, who knows how to balance a clear accountability with the flexibility to be a designer, consultant, expert, teacher, leader, or doer as the situation demands. About The Job (Job Responsibilities): The Modern Workplace Architect will work closely with Delivery Manager and Solution Architect on applying standards, accomplish roadmaps and implementing improvements to the services. Act as subject matter expert for the Modern Workplace Domain and support other teams with the expertise. Work with the vendors to define solution architectures and oversees the third-party contributions. Maintain the right governance model with the vendors (e.g. CABs, design reviews, exception management). Ensures that the vendor teams remain within the boundaries as described in the approved solution architectures. In addition, the team members are expected to engage, share and contribute to overall knowledge and skillset of the IM organization. Follow the right governance to get new Solution Architecture designs aligned with and approved by Nouryon Enterprise Architects. Maintain Thought Leadership on Digital Technologies, e.g. support innovation agenda and take initiatives to experiment with digital innovations, keep up with new developments in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, etc). We believe you bring (Education & Experience): Master/ bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study. Around 10 years of experience in the IT sector in general and with more than 5 years' experience in the respective technical domain, expressing deep and broad knowledge of architecture, IT security, (technology) platforms and business processes for the specific technical domain and with (comparable) business environments. Solid technical solution architecture experience with modeling and/or infrastructure / application architecture design frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies. Knowledge and practical skills in best practice solutions in the shared solutions space. Knowledge of the process industry and relevant technological developments in the respective technical domain. Experience with consulting or business roles. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in design, build and deployment of solutions on MS Azure and Office 365 platform. Solid understanding and experience of working with hybrid infrastructure environments. Solid understanding and experience of managing Windows devices. Experience in extending Office365 functionality with forms, web parts, and other application technologies including PowerApps, Logic-Apps, Flow and Common Data Service. Significant hands-on experience in administering large O365 (Office, Exchange, SharePoint, MS Teams, Azure AD, Intune.) Ability to work with remote project teams and executing projects without being physical present. Understand client requirements, business objectives and IT frameworks. Knowledge of Azure Cloud services including, Active Directory, DirSync, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and AAD and Conditional Access Policies.
