Role Summary: The Labour Welfare Officer (LWO) will ensure statutory compliance under the Factories Act and Labour Laws, maintain healthy employee-management relations and implement the welfare and HR initiatives at the Pelhar manufacturing plant. The role involves statutory welfare responsibilities, employee engagement, IR support, training coordination and day-to-day HR operations. - Company: Naxnova Technologies Private Limited ( ) - Job Location: Pelhar Plant, Vasai (Mumbai) - Position Offered: Deputy / Assistant Manager - Labour Welfare Officer - Reports To: Manager - HR & Administration - Department: HR & Administration - Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing/factory environment - Salary Budget: Up to 15 Lakhs per annum (Max) Mandatory Compliance Requirement: The candidate must be a Registered/Certified Labour Welfare Officer under the Factories Act, 1948, certified by the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH), Government of Maharashtra. Applications without this certification cannot be considered due to statutory requirements. Principal Accountabilities/Key Deliverables: A. Statutory Welfare & Compliance - Ensure full compliance with the Factories Act, 1948 and all relevant labour legislation. - Maintain statutory registers, welfare records, notice boards and information bulletins. - Liaise with DISH, Labour Office, ESIC, PF, local authorities and government bodies. - Handle statutory audits, internal/external audits and customer compliance audits. - Maintain proper records of plant employees, including contract labour, attendance, overtime, leave, etc. - Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to welfare, compliance and HR metrics. B. Employee Welfare & Support - Advise and assist management in providing welfare amenities (canteen, restrooms, first-aid, drinking water, creche if applicable, transport, etc.). - Address worker grievances, provide counselling and help workers adjust to working conditions. - Handle Mediclaim documentation and support employees in claim settlements. - Conduct floor visits and welfare inspections to ensure proper upkeep of facilities. C. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations - Establish contacts and maintain harmonious relations between management and workers. - Promote transparent communication to ensure productive efficiency and industrial harmony. - Support HR team in IR matters, disciplinary actions and conflict-resolution processes. D. HR Operations & Training - Manage joining formalities, onboarding and induction programmes for new employees. - Advise management on training needs and maintain training records. - Assist HR team in evaluation, development and implementation of HR strategies. - Support and conduct employee engagement initiatives and welfare programs. E. Liaison & External Coordination - Develop and maintain positive relationships with government & non-government bodies for smooth functioning of statutory and welfare activities. Critical Knowledge & Skills Required: A. Technical Knowledge - Time Office activities, Attendance & Leave Management - Statutory Compliance under Factories Act & Labour Laws - Training & Development processes - Grievance handling and problem-resolution - HR policies and cross-departmental workflows B. Skills & Competencies - Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills - Empathy, patience and strong worker-connect abilities - Strong documentation, reporting and analytical abilities - Problem-solving mindset and ability to maintain confidentiality - Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi and English preferred Qualifications & Experience: - Any Graduate with a certified Welfare Officer as per the Factories Act, 1948 from the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (Maharashtra). - Any Graduate (additional MBA/MPM/MSW/MLS or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Labour Welfare, IR or HRM will be added advantage)
