JOB TITLE - .Net Technical Lead / Engineering Manager in .Net About the Role: As a .NET Technical Lead / Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of architecting, leading, and delivering innovative, cloud-native solutions for BFSI sector clients. This pivotal role blends advanced technical expertise—with deep command of modern .NET stacks and cutting-edge cloud/database technologies—with inspiring leadership. Key Responsibilities: Technical & Architectural Leadership - Architect and deliver highly scalable, secure enterprise solutions leveraging .NET (Core/Framework), Angular/React, and modern container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes) across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). - Drive the adoption of proven software design patterns (such as MVC, MVVM, Repository, Factory, Singleton, Dependency Injection, CQRS, Event Sourcing) to ensure robust, maintainable, and extensible architectures. - Lead technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and define architectural standards that enable innovation, resilience, and compliance. - Maintain a hands-on presence as a technical architect and, when necessary, as an engineering individual contributor. Database Architecture & Data Management - Design, model, and optimize both relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.) and NoSQL (Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.) data platforms for high performance, scalability, and regulatory alignment. - Implement database best practices, including indexing, partitioning, replication, sharding, performance tuning, and query optimization tailored for large-scale financial systems. - Ensure secure data management, enforce DR/HA strategies, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and lead successful data migrations and integrations. Performance Engineering & Optimization - Champion system-wide performance engineering—profiling, tuning, caching, connection pooling, and load testing—across application, data, and cloud resources. - Set product and platform benchmarks, identify and resolve bottlenecks proactively, and escalate performance improvements through root-cause analysis and cross-team collaboration. Security, Compliance & BFSI Standards - Ensure all solutions meet or exceed BFSI security, audit, and compliance standards (e.G., PCI DSS, SOX, GLBA, GDPR). - Lead secure SDLC practices, data protection initiatives, and oversee thorough documentation of compliance measures. Quality, Automation & DevOps Excellence - Define and manage project quality metrics—code and data quality, test coverage, defect rates, deployment reliability, and application/database KPIs. - Champion continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation pipelines to drive delivery efficiency and quality. - Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives at both process and technical levels. People Management & Cross-Functional Leadership - Build, lead, and mentor high-performing cross-functional teams—guiding developers, DevOps, QA, DBAs, business analysts, and UX specialists to shared success. - Foster collaboration, alignment, and shared delivery goals across engineering, product, QA, operations, and client stakeholder groups. - Oversee hiring, onboarding, individual development plans, performance reviews, and the ongoing growth and well-being of team members. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Communication - Serve as a trusted technical advisor—leading architecture/design workshops, technical reviews, solution demonstrations, and executive-level presentations. - Articulate complex technical concepts, project status, and improvement strategies to diverse technical and business audiences. GenAI & Technology Innovation - Drive the adoption of GenAI and advanced automation tools for enhanced development velocity, documentation, QA, and team productivity. - Evaluate emerging engineering and data/AI technology trends, integrating innovations to maintain delivery excellence. Role Agility & Multi-Hat Responsibility - Exhibit flexibility to take on multiple leadership and delivery roles as project needs dictate (including hands-on developer, architect, scrum master, incident manager, or pre-sales engineer). - Remain calm and effective when priorities shift, urgent challenges arise, or business needs evolve—quickly rallying the team and resources to ensure project success. Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - 5+ years in software engineering with deep hands-on expertise in .NET, Angular/React, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); Mandatory 3+ years in atechnical leadership or management role. - Expert in applying a broad spectrum of software design patterns and best practices for enterprise solutions. - Advanced database architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning experience across both SQL and NoSQL platforms. - Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end performance optimization initiatives in large, complex systems. - Proven record of managing and aligning cross-functional teams in matrixed or consulting environments. - Strong experience establishing, tracking, and improving project quality metrics and delivery outcomes. - Excellent people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills. - Outstanding communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities, with experience engaging executive and client audiences. - Track record managing mission-critical software delivery and regulatory compliance for BFSI or similar highly regulated sectors. - Demonstrated adaptability, multi-role flexibility, and a problem-solving mindset in fast-paced, client-centric environments.
