AI & Data Engineer Full-Stack Software Builder at Cityscope

Cityscope is building the future of hyperlocal discovery and creator-powered commerce in India. Were looking for an AI & Data Engineer who is also a software engineer and builder at heart. Someone excited to design and ship large scale, real world AI systems that blend LLMs, data engineering, and product infrastructure. If youve built end-to-end pipelines, retrieval systems, or agents and want to push the frontier of city scale intelligence, this role is your playground.

What youll do

Build, deploy, and scale LLM-powered workflows, from fine-tuning to inference optimization.

Architect multilingual, multimodal systems spanning text, voice, and imagestailored for Indias diversity.

Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with embeddings, hybrid search, and vector DBs.

Design real-time agents and tool-calling systems for discovery, recommendations, and conversational transactions.

Engineer data pipelines: cleaning, structuring, and streaming hyperlocal content from multiple sources.

Run offline/online experiments to improve accuracy, reliability, and latency at scale.

Build internal AI tooling for observability, evaluation, and safetymaking AI explainable and citizen-first.

What were looking for

Strong foundations in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related fields (degree or equivalent experience).

Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML libraries (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI APIs).

Proven ability to ship production-grade AI systems and end-to-end pipelines.

Deep understanding of LLMs: finetuning, inference patterns, and prompt engineering.

Familiarity with vector databases and agent orchestration patterns.

Ability to work like a builder: lean, fast, and hands-onshipping solutions that scale.

Bonus points for

Experience with multilingual NLP, especially Indian languages.

Contributions to open-source AI projects, papers, or public demos.

Knowledge of low-latency inference and optimization for scale.

Interest in city-tech, discovery platforms, or citizen engagement systems.
