Role: Lead Data Scientist – Gen AI

About DS/AI Competency Center:

Focuses on leveraging data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to extract insights, build predictive models, and develop AI powered solutions. Utilizes Exploratory Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling and Machine Learning, Model Deployment, and Integration as well as Model Monitoring and Maintenance. Delivers business solutions using multiple AI techniques and tools.

Tasks:

The key duties are:

- Running end-to-end initiatives (Business understanding, Data understanding/preparation, Modeling, Evaluation and Deployment)
- Analyzing and interpreting the findings
- Drawing conclusions and recommendations- including expected benefits and measuring ROI for enhancing business processes
- Supporting Pre-sales activities and initiatives

Requirements:

Must Have:

- Familiarity with theory behind various machine learning concepts
- Experience with Machine Learning (ML), especially in the area of Genertative AI (LLM/LMM) with focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) or multi modal models.
- Experience with business requirements gathering, transforming them into technical plan, data processing, feature engineering, models evaluation, hypothesis testing and model deployment
- Fluency in Python, working knowledge of SQL and vector data base
- Knowledge of specific DS/ML/CVGenAI/NLP libraries like: NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain, and GenAI APIs i.e. OpenAI/Gemini.

Nice to have:

- Experience in working with big data and distributed environments would be a plus
- Commercial experience proven by multiple successful projects in the area of Generative AI, Natural Language Processing or Computer Vision would be a big plus

General:

- Good computer programming skills and familiarity with object oriented programming concepts
- Expertise in Azure cloud resources, Databricks
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerisation
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to come up with creative solutions to address customer problem
- Ability to lead small technical team on the project
