As an Associate Architect at Onit you will lead the design and implementation of new features and APIs as part of the OnitX AppBuilder Platform Development team The primary focus of this position will be on enhancing the engine that enables our Products team to build applications that we sell in the Legal Tech market The ideal candidate will be able to lead the technical direction of both Front End and Back End development as well as provide leadership and mentoring to more junior development and QA resources The current tech stack includes Ruby on Rails React JavaScript and PostgreSQL We deploy to AWS We are an agile software development shop and believe in automated testing Responsibilities Plan build and launch features for our products Lead design and use of technology to best solve business problems including performance improvement of existing software Evaluate emerging technologies continually to identify opportunities trends and best practices to strengthen development practices and improve productivity Work closely with our designers and project management team to craft well thought out user experiences Work closely with Product Management and provide analysis on complexity and effort required for completion of new features and initiatives Estimate development tasks and meet deadlines Troubleshoot CI CD issues and maintain an understanding of our deployment architecture Work directly with the support team to troubleshoot and solve issues as part our escalation team and to help more junior resources solve issues they are not experienced enough to solve Skills Qualifications 10 years of experience using current language s for web development Demonstrated leadership in projects preferably including examples in Experience with front-end development and technologies including JavaScript and React is required Dynamic languages such as Ruby on Rails Static languages such as Java Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of the SQL language and relational databases Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus Working knowledge of CI CD concepts Experience with AWS containerization and Kubernetes are highly desired Demonstrated understanding of full cycle development leveraging Agile methodologies Ability to work and develop in Mac Linux environment Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering in computer science Software engineering or other similar equivalent disciplines is required About Onit Onit is a global leader of enterprise workflow solutions for legal compliance sales IT HR and finance departments Our solutions transform best practices into smarter workflows better processes and operational efficiencies With a focus on enterprise legal management matter management spend management contract management and legal holds we operate globally and help transform the way Fortune 500 companies and billion-dollar legal departments bridge the gap between systems of record and systems of engagement Apply Apply for this position Required Apply with Indeed First Name Last Name Email Address Phone Address Resume We ve received your resume Click to update it or Attach resume as pdf doc docx odt txt or rtf limit 5MB or Paste your resume here or Human Check This website uses cookies and other analytics technologies By selecting Allow you consent to the recording use and sharing of your website activity by this website and its service providers
