Job Description Key Responsibilities: Patient Care & Treatment - Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular conditions. - Monitor patient progress, recommend interventions, and provide evidence-based care plans. - Supervise and guide junior doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare staff in the coronary care unit (CCU). Procedures & Interventions - Perform or assist in cardiac procedures, including catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement, as applicable. - Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests. - Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and clinical guidelines during interventions. Collaboration & Coordination - Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Coordinate with hospital staff for patient admissions, discharge planning, and post-procedure follow-up. - Participate in case discussions, clinical rounds, and departmental meetings. Quality & Compliance - Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and reports. - Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies. - Implement best practices in patient safety, infection control, and clinical protocols. Research & Continuous Learning - Keep updated with latest advancements in cardiology and coronary care. - Participate in clinical research, audits, and continuing medical education (CME) programs. - Contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines for coronary care. Required Qualifications: - MBBS with MD / DM in Cardiology or equivalent specialization. - 15 years of experience in coronary care or cardiology units. - Strong knowledge of cardiac diseases, interventions, and critical care management. - Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills. - Ability to work under pressure in a critical care environment.
