Job Description

As an Education Counselor, you will be responsible for counseling prospective students and their parents/guardians about various educational programs, courses, and career paths. Your primary role will involve understanding student profiles, academic backgrounds, and career goals, then recommending suitable educational opportunities (e.g., specific courses, colleges, universities, study abroad options, skill development programs). You will guide them through the application process, address their queries, and build trusting relationships to ensure they make well-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

- Student Counseling & Needs Assessment:
- Conduct in-depth counseling sessions (in-person, phone, or virtual) with students and parents to understand their academic background, interests, career aspirations, and financial considerations.
- Assess student profiles to identify suitable educational programs, courses, or institutions ([mention specific focus, e.g., undergraduate, postgraduate, specific vocational training, study abroad destinations]).
- Provide comprehensive information on available options, including eligibility criteria, admission processes, fee structures, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects.
- Program Promotion & Lead Conversion:
- Effectively present and promote the educational programs and services offered by [Institute/Company Name] or its partner institutions.
- Address student and parent doubts, concerns, and objections professionally and persuasively.
- Guide prospective students through the entire admission or application process, from initial inquiry to enrollment/visa application (if applicable).
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets for counseling sessions, lead conversions, and enrollments/admissions.
- Application & Documentation Support:
- Assist students with filling out application forms accurately and compiling necessary documentation (e.g., transcripts, certificates, letters of recommendation, SOPs).
- Ensure all applications are submitted completely and on time, adhering to institutional deadlines.
- Coordinate with educational institutions or partner universities for admission updates and offer letters.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with students and parents throughout their counseling journey.
- Provide continuous support and follow-up, keeping them informed about their application status or upcoming deadlines.
- Address any post-admission queries or concerns to ensure a smooth transition.
- Market Research & Knowledge Sharing:
- Stay updated with the latest educational trends, changes in admission policies, visa regulations (for study abroad), and new program offerings.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of competitor offerings and market dynamics.
- Contribute insights from counseling sessions to improve marketing strategies and program development.
- CRM Management & Reporting:
- Accurately record all student interactions, profiles, application statuses, and outcomes in the CRM system or designated database.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on counseling activities, conversion rates, and student feedback to the management.
