Consultant – IT Services Administrator

Key Responsibilities: - System Administration: Manage and maintain all aspects of our IT systems, including servers, networks, desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. - Intune MDM & Device Management: Implement and manage Microsoft Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM)for device enrollment, application protection policies, and automated patch management to enhance security and streamline IT operations. - M365 & Entra ID Integration: Administer Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Protection (EOP) for threat prevention and manage Azure/Entra ID B2B collaboration to support secure interactions with external clients and vendors. - Jira Ticketing Tool Management: Establish and manage the Jira ticketing tool for logging, prioritizing, and tracking all IT support requests across the organization. - M365 Administration & Backup: Configure and administer Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online Protection for threat prevention and dedicated M365 backup tools to ensure data protection and rapid recovery. - Bitdefender Security Management: Deploy, configure, and monitor Bitdefender endpoint security across all devices to safeguard the environment against malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats. - User Support: Provide technical support to all organization employees, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, resolving technical problems, and answering IT-related queries. Establish and manage a ticketing system for all IT support requests. - Network Management: Monitor network performance, configure network devices, and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure reliable and secure resource access. - Security Management: Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption to defend against cyber threats. - Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data. - Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software, OS, and security patches to maintain optimal performance and compliance. - IT Policies and Compliance: Enforce IT policies and procedures, ensure regulatory compliance, manage access control, and drive adherence to data privacy standards. - Vendor Management & IT Procurement: Coordinate with third-party vendors for procurement of IT hardware, software licenses, and services, including direct liaison with external clients or vendors. Create and maintain detailed invoice records and asset inventories for all IT procurements. - Asset Management: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, operating procedures, and a comprehensive inventory of hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle. - User Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage seamless onboarding and offboarding of users, ensuring timely provisioning/deprovisioning of access and resources, and maintaining compliance with IT and security protocols. - Training & Knowledge Sharing: Deliver user training and support on IT tools, security best practices, and IT policies. Promote knowledge sharing within the IT team and across the organization. Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven experience of at least 3 years as an IT Administrator or similar role, with a strong technical background in managing IT systems and infrastructure. - Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and hardware troubleshooting. - Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices for securing IT environments. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with users at all levels of the organization. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organization in documentation and record-keeping. - Ability to adapt to changing technology trends and learn new skills as needed. - Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are advantageous.
