Solidcam programmer

We are looking for an experienced CAM Programmer with strong expertise in SolidCAM to join our toolroom team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of CNC programming, machining operations, and preventive maintenance. This role requires effective coordination with CNC milling operators and other toolroom machine operators to ensure smooth production and precision machining. Experience in die & mold manufacturing and knowledge of SolidWorks will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using SolidCAM for CNC milling and other toolroom machines.

• Work closely with machine operators to enhance machining efficiency and precision.

• Troubleshoot and edit CNC programs (G-code & M-code) as needed.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and 3D CAD models.

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance strategies to ensure machine reliability.

• Assist in tool selection, fixture design, and process improvement for better productivity.

• Coordinate with the toolroom team to resolve machining challenges and optimize production.

• Utilize SolidWorks for basic CAD modifications when required.

• Contribute to die & mold machining projects, ensuring high-quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in SolidCAM for CNC programming.

• Good understanding of SolidWorks for CAD-related tasks.

• In-depth knowledge of CNC milling operations, toolroom machines, and machining techniques.

• Experience in die & mold manufacturing will be a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.

• Hands-on experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance for CNC and toolroom machines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with operators and engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or Manufacturing.

• 3+ years of experience in CAM programming and CNC operations.

• Hands-on experience in machining dies, molds, and precision components.
