Location: Remote (India) Compensation: ₹25,000 - 30,000 INR per month Shift: Early Morning / Day Shift About the Role We are seeking a dependable and highly professional Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) with experience in front desk operations and after-hours medical office calling for a US-based medical practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and compassion in patient interactions. A medical background is preferred. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between patients and clinic providers by managing calls, documenting accurately, and following established triage protocols. Key Responsibilities - Handle incoming patient calls with professionalism, empathy, and a patient-first approach. - Assess caller needs and provide appropriate responses based on clinic guidelines and protocols. - Escalate urgent issues to the on-call provider and ensure timely follow-up when required. - Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling based on clinic preferences. - Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately within the EHR system. - Review and update patient charts as needed to support care coordination. - Assist with medication refill requests, message forwarding, and administrative tasks. - Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies. - Communicate effectively with providers and clinic staff to ensure seamless operations. - Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to leadership for process improvement. - Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making in navigating patient concerns after hours.
