Fund Accounting Manager

Job Description We are a Gurgaon Based leading Recruitment Partner for various reputed MNCs and Corporates engaged in various Sectors on a PAN India basis for over a decade. Presently we are looking for the eligible candidate for a Manager as per the below given details. Please apply in confidence. About the Role The Manager will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting and related financial services, focusing on Private Equity Fund accounting while managing and mentoring a team of professionals. Responsibilities - Manage and mentor a team of fund accountants - Review and sign-off of Net Asset Value calculations, financial statements and associated reports - Reviewing/Authorizing payments and other transactions - Valuation of portfolio holdings - Review and approve fund valuations, reconciliations, audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance reports. - Develop and implement robust accounting policies, procedures, and controls to maintain the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance. - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including fund managers, investors, auditors, tax advisors, administrators, and custodians. - Provide technical guidance and support on complex accounting and reporting matters, such as fair value measurement, consolidation, and allocation. Qualifications - A CA or CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification. - A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in fund accounting or related financial services, with a focus on Private Equity Fund accounting. - Managing and/or leading large teams for 2-3 years Required Skills - Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor a team of professionals. - Excellent communication skills for clear and concise reporting and stakeholder engagement. - An innovative mindset to lead process improvements and implement automation solutions. - Excellent analytical, problem solving skills with high degree of attention to detail - Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills - Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Preferred Skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume tasks accurately. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines. - Proficiency in data entry and report generation. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and ownership of tasks. - Familiarity with financial systems and processes is an asset.
