Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a qualification of M.Com or Inter CA for our Vadodara office. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting. The role involves finalizing accounts, preparing balance sheets, handling day-to-day accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. This position is open for Male Candidates Only due to frequent coordination with vendors, clients, and inter-branch travel requirements.Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Handle day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, cash book, and ledger maintenance. Record and reconcile receipts, payments, expenses, and revenues accurately. Maintain proper accounting records in Tally ERP 9 or any other accounting software used. Ensure timely data entry and accuracy of financial records. 2. Finalization of Accounts Prepare and finalize Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements. Ensure accurate provisions, adjustments, and reconciliations before account finalization. Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary schedules and reports during audits. 3. GST, TDS & Taxation Calculate and file GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual filings. Ensure proper input tax credit reconciliation and maintain accurate GST records. Handle TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing within deadlines. Work on advance tax, income tax return filing, and tax audit compliance. Stay updated with latest taxation amendments and ensure statutory compliance. 4. Compliance & Regulatory Reporting Ensure compliance with ROC, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory norms. Prepare reports and documents required for statutory audits, internal audits, and government filings. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities. 5. Bank Reconciliation & Payments Handle bank reconciliation statements (BRS) monthly. Process vendor payments and ensure timely clearance of dues. Manage collections, advances, and outstanding receivables. Monitor working capital and cash flow efficiently. 6. Inventory & Asset Management Coordinate with the stores and procurement team for stock reconciliation. Record fixed assets, depreciation, and maintain asset registers. Assist in periodic stock audits and ensure accurate reporting.Required Skills & Competencies1. Technical Skills Expertise in Tally ERP 9 and other accounting software. Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and data analysis). Sound understanding of GST, TDS, and other taxation compliance requirements. Knowledge of balance sheet finalization and statutory reporting. 2. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Ability to analyze financial data and detect discrepancies. Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in calculations. Efficient in preparing MIS reports and financial summaries. 3. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Good verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Ability to coordinate with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities. Professional and polite approach when interacting with stakeholders. 4. Personal Attributes Self-driven, responsible, and detail-oriented individual. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Willingness to learn and stay updated on accounting and taxation laws.
