Job Description - Facility operations: Oversee the daily running of the facility, including managing systems like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, and handling general upkeep. - Maintenance and repairs: Schedule and supervise routine maintenance and repair work, conduct regular inspections, and coordinate with external vendors for services. - Staff and team management: Supervise, train, and support facility staff, such as janitorial and maintenance personnel, and ensure proper scheduling for daily operations. - Budget and cost control: Develop and manage facility budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor expenses for utilities, repairs, and supplies. - Safety and compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all safety, health, and environmental regulations by implementing and managing safe work practices. - Coordination and communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues, respond to occupant concerns, and coordinate with vendors and other departments. - Maintain equipment database for site. - Develop and implement innovative programs and processes that reduce utility costs, increase productivity and savings. - Initiate strategies to achieve measurable improvements in energy consumption. - Assist with churn and project work. - Prepare / provide input to the site monthly report to be submitted to Client - Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of the facility's systems and equipment. - Must be able to recognize system shortcomings and respond to operational and emergency situations. - Ensure Planned Preventive Maintenance activities are undertaken in accordance with the schedule. - Ensure the implementation and management of Risk and Safety work practices to reduce any interruption to operations. - Implement regular inspections of the facility on energy conservation, maintenance practices, utility management and risk management procedures.
