Job SummaryWe are seeking a courteous, dependable, and professional Receptionist - Night Shift to manage the front desk of our hotel during overnight hours. As the first point of contact for guests arriving or staying late, the Night Receptionist is responsible for check-ins, check-outs, guest queries, and maintaining the safety and security of the property during non-daytime hours.This role requires excellent communication, a calm demeanor, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a low-supervision environment. It's ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and customer service who are comfortable working through the night.Key Responsibilities1. Guest Check-In and Check-OutWelcome and register arriving guests during night hours with warmth and professionalism.Complete check-in procedures including ID verification, room assignment, and payment processing.Assist guests checking out early in the morning with billing and feedback collection.Ensure all registration records and financial transactions are accurately recorded.2. Reservation and Room ManagementManage room availability and update occupancy charts.Process new bookings received online, by phone, or by walk-in during the night.Coordinate with the housekeeping department to assign clean and ready rooms.Monitor late arrivals, no-shows, and cancellations according to hotel policy.3. Guest Services and SupportHandle guest inquiries, complaints, requests, and emergencies professionally and efficiently.Provide information about the hotel, room services, local attractions, transport, and restaurants.Maintain calm and composure when dealing with distressed or difficult guests.Assist with wake-up calls, early morning travel arrangements, and room service coordination.4. Safety and SecurityMonitor the premises via CCTV and ensure guest safety and security throughout the night.Maintain access control at the entrance and verify identities if necessary.Liaise with security staff or local authorities in case of emergencies.Conduct routine checks of the lobby, reception area, and public spaces for safety compliance.5. Financial Transactions and ReportingMaintain accurate records of room charges, payments, and petty cash.Reconcile the day's transactions and prepare night audit reports.Generate summaries of occupancy, revenue, and pending tasks for the morning shift.Ensure all accounting entries are balanced before handing over to the next shift.6.
