JOB DESCRIPTIONDesignation PROJECT MANAGERJob Location BangaloreDepartment BBRC-EXP2-TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCEAbout SyngeneIncorporated in 1993 Syngene International Ltd is an innovation-focused global discovery development and manufacturing organization providing integrated scientific services to the pharmaceutical biotechnology nutrition animal health consumer goods and specialty chemical industries around the world Syngene s clientele includes world leaders such as Bristol-Myers Squibb Baxter Amgen GSK Merck KGaA and Herbalife Its innovative culture is driven by the passion of its 4240- strong team of scientists who work with clients from around the world to solve their scientific problems improve R D productivity speed up time to market and lower the cost of innovation Job Purpose The position is for an experienced project manager with exposure to Translational Medicine domain The purpose of this role is to partner with the scientific teams in Translational Medicine in BBRC and stakeholders in BMS in operational and logistical aspects of the execution of research study programs such as budgeting resource-planning and tracking supply-chain interfaces progress and milestone-tracking timeline-tracking deviation-management and communication Key Responsibilities Lead operational management of designated projects including o Establish scientific and operational project milestones in collaboration with stakeholders o In consultation with stakeholders agree and document deliverables and timelines at each project stage Coordinate for discussion on project initiation and conduct regular follow-up meetings on project status updates Develop and maintain a detailed project plan tracker to monitor and track progress Assist in the management of changes to the project scope project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Report and escalate project-related operational and or administrative issues to management as needed Partner in performing risk management to minimize potential risks Preparation of reports including but not limited to time sheets resource planner project updates and other productivity related metrics Coordinating and tracking for sample shipment sample manifest and regular follows with the sample management team Preparation of projects tracker resource planner and to maintain the complete project overview Educational Qualification Master of Science in any domain of life sciences with a certification in Project Management e g PMP Technical functional Skills Maximum 4-6 Points Strong competencies in planning project management outsourcing resource management and organization Exceptional organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Solid analytical capabilities and attention to detail Ability to produce and present clear concise and professionally written communications and presentations Sound knowledge in quality systems preparation and review of SOP s Experience Total 2 to 4 years of Industry experienceBehavioral Skills Good problem-solving skills oratory and documentation skills learning attitude collaboration linking and analytical abilities attention to detail thoroughness and responsiveness with sense of urgencyStakeholders BBRC scientific teams in TM BMS stakeholders in TM BBRC Enabling Functions wherever applicable e g Supply Chain Others as and when required Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Syngene to provide equal employment opportunity EEO to all persons regardless of age color national origin citizenship status physical or mental disability race religion creed gender sex sexual orientation gender identity and or expression genetic information marital status status with regard to public assistance veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation or local law In addition Syngene will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities
