Job Description

QA Engineer - Playwright with Typescript or JavaScript

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and solutions to ensure the highest quality of software for our web applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement automated test scripts using Playwright, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript for web applications.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other team members to understand requirements and develop comprehensive testing strategies.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
- Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and performance tests for web applications.
- Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous delivery and automated validation.
- Continuously enhance test coverage and improve the reliability and speed of automated tests.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure test scripts are maintainable and follow best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the QA team in automation best practices and methodologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test environments, tools, and scripts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, tools, and emerging trends in automation testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience in QA automation, specifically with Playwright, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks and scripts for web applications.
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
- Solid understanding of various testing types (functional, integration, regression, performance, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in using version control tools like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot test failures and issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
