Principal Security Engineer

Job Description About the role: As a Principal Software Engineer in Security Research, you will drive the design, architecture, and delivery of advanced security automation and AI-powered systems. You will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle from concept and design to development, deployment, and scaling of internal tools, dashboards, and automation platforms that strengthen the organisation's defensive capabilities. . Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of internal security automation tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms. - Architect and lead automation initiatives across security workflows including static and dynamic analysis (SAST/DAST), source code review, vulnerability triage, SOC automation, and incident response leveraging modern LLM-based and agentic frameworks. - Design, build, and manage end-to-end deployment pipelines for internal security tools, ensuring scalable, resilient, and self-service deployment for multiple teams. - Develop and maintain automation agents and orchestration frameworks that augment or replace manual tasks within security operations and vulnerability management lifecycles. - Integrate large language models (LLMs) and multi-agent systems into existing security pipelines to drive contextual code review, alert correlation, and incident response playbooks. - Perform in-depth vulnerability research and analysis, with a special focus on identifying and exploiting business logic flaws across web and API ecosystems. - Conduct hands-on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) to validate security posture and identify high-impact application-level weaknesses. - Lead R&D efforts in exploring emerging AI and automation technologies applicable to enterprise security challenges. - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to embed secure development practices and automated guardrails within CI/CD workflows. - Contribute to internal tooling and frameworks, improving observability, automation reliability, and coverage for both offensive and defensive security domains. - Document and share research findings, proof-of-concepts, and best practices, helping establish the internal knowledge base and influence the broader security engineering strategy. - Continuously evaluate and enhance internal security automation architectures, ensuring alignment with modern security engineering principles and organisational maturity goals.
