Job Description Position Overview: We are looking for a Structural Engineer with 46 years of design experience, capable of supporting international projects, particularly in the Buildings and Industries sector. The role is based in India and involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams across the Nordic regions. The candidate should have a strong understanding of British and European design codes, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience in delivering building structures using advanced design tools and BIM workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Perform structural analysis and design for complex building and Industrial projects in compliance with Eurocodes (EN standards) and BS. - Develop and review structural models (BIM and FEM Analysis), calculations, and drawings for concrete, steel, and composite structures. - Ensure coordination with Architecture, MEP, and BIM teams to achieve fully integrated and clash-free designs. - Support digital design delivery, adhering to UK/Nordic project standards and QA procedures. - Participate in technical coordination meetings with global design teams and clients. - Prepare and review design deliverables such as GA drawings, design reports, specifications, and design schedules. - Assist in value engineering and ensure designs are practical, buildable, and sustainable. - Support other engineers and drafters, ensuring adherence to project workflows and quality expectations. - Maintain awareness of local and international sustainability standards (BREEAM, LEED, etc.). Qualifications - Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution. - 46 years of relevant experience in building structures, preferably in industries and commercial. - Strong technical knowledge and working experience with and Eurocodes (EN 19901999) British Standards (BS). - Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis software such as ETABS, Stadd Pro, SAFE, and Robot. - Working knowledge of Revit Structure, BIM workflows, and collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM360 / ACC). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and report writing skills in English. - Ability to work in a global, multidisciplinary environment with remote coordination. Preferred / Desirable: - Experience in Nordic/UK healthcare projects or public infrastructure developments. - Understanding of sustainability and low-carbon structural design approaches. - Progressing toward Chartered Engineer (CEng / MICE / MIStructE) status or equivalent Additional Information You will join our Global Engineering Centredepartment As our new Senior Engineer - Structures you will be part of Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) that was established as a dedicated institution for creating the excellence centre in Ramboll.
