Job Description

Role Overview:

- As a Communication Designer at Razorpay, you will play a critical role in creating visually compelling and engaging content to effectively communicate our brand message and product offerings.
- We are looking for a talented professional with 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, and visual identity who can independently handle various aspects of design identity, marketing collaterals, landing pages, and print collaterals.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about design, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses excellent technical skills with the aptitude to upskill with agility.

Responsibilities:

- Great understanding of design patterns, color theory, typography, illustrations, and iconography with relentless attention to detail and consistency.
- Work on visual identity projects, marketing campaigns, print collaterals, landing pages, and social media collaterals.
- Strong grasp of visualizing data.
- Experience with AI design tools such as MidJourney, Photoshop Beta, and Firefly to create unique and innovative imagery, enhance creative workflow, and generate novel visual concepts (a big bonus).
- Ability to generate clear ideas, concepts, and designs for creative assets.
- Think on a campaign level and execute big-picture ideas.
- Deliver brand and product storytelling consistently across all channels like websites, e-mailers, landing pages, collaterals, and growth campaigns.
- Collaborate with content writers, fellow communication designers, and marketing stakeholders to build visual brand excellence for various design needs.
- Articulate design decisions clearly to key stakeholders and design leaders.
- Self-motivated and excited to learn new skills like AI, motion design, and illustrations to enhance your work.

What Would You Work On

- Create captivating product launch campaigns that effectively communicate complex concepts and features in a visually appealing manner.
- Understand the assigned brief and content well by asking the right questions and applying them in designs.
- Come up with creative ideas and detail them as concepts, sketches, and wireframes that solve the brief in a reasonable time frame.
- Design visuals that are aligned with the brand language as per the project's needs.
- Take ownership of projects, requiring minimal supervision, and take them from concept to completion within established timelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and other teams to understand project requirements and deliver compelling visual content that aligns with the brand vision.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in graphic design, and share knowledge with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- A strong portfolio featuring exceptional design, illustrations, excellent typography, attention to detail, and a flair for creative, idea-driven projects.
- Proficient in using software such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
- 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably gained within a tech-based company's in-house design team or creative agency/studio.
- A great understanding of brand identity and visual design with relentless attention to detail and consistency.
- Creative-minded and intensely customer-focused.
- Care about design from a strategic level to design details, ensuring pixels are right.
