SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs). We are seeking applications for the position of GIS Expert & Land Management Expert for Zonal Development Plans for eastern part of India. Missions/Main Duties: - Geo-database Management: Create, develop, and manage geo-databases to support zoning and land management activities within the development plans. - Spatial Data Analysis: Conduct advanced spatial analysis using GIS and remote sensing tools to support land use planning, land cover mapping, and infrastructure decision-making. - Remote Sensing & Image Interpretation: Perform multi-sensor and multi-data satellite image interpretation for accurate land use and land cover mapping, including ground truthing and field verification. - Map Preparation & Vetting: Prepare GIS-based base maps, develop digital plans, and ensure the accuracy and quality of spatial data and map vetting. - Attribute Data Collection: Collect and analyze spatial attribute data necessary for planning and implementation of zonal development plans. - Digital Elevation Models: Develop and utilize Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and other spatial products to inform planning strategies. - Collaboration & Support: Work closely with planners, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the integration and application of GIS-based solutions throughout the project lifecycle. - Reporting & Documentation: Prepare high-quality technical reports, GIS visualizations, and presentations supporting decision-making and project goals. Profile/Skills: - Postgraduate Degree in Remote Sensing & Geomatics, or - Certification in Geo-Informatics or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience. - Solid experience in creating, developing, and managing geo-databases. - Strong practical experience in GIS software and functionalities (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS, etc.). - Proficiency in remote sensing and interpretation of multi-sensor/multi-data satellite images for land use/land cover mapping and ground truthing. - Proven track record in preparation of GIS-based base maps, digital plans, attribute data collection, vetting of maps, and spatial analysis. - Experience in the creation and application of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs). : We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency.
