Core responsibilities - Patient Care:Overseeing and managing the clinical care of obstetric and gynecological patients throughout all stages of their reproductive health. - Diagnosis and Treatment:Diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the female reproductive organs, breasts, and sex hormones. - Surgery:Performing surgical procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and the removal of cysts or fibroids. - Pregnancy Management:Providing prenatal care, monitoring fetal growth, managing labor and delivery, and offering postpartum care. - Preventive Care:Performing routine check-ups, pelvic and breast exams, Pap tests, and screenings for gynecological cancers and STIs. - Patient Education:Counseling patients on women's health issues, disease prevention, family planning, and reproductive health. - Collaboration:Working with other medical specialists to develop and implement patient treatment plans. - Medical Documentation:Recording patient histories and maintaining accurate medical records. - Professional Development:Staying current with new medical practices and contributing to research in women's health.
