Backend Developer with Data Security Knowledge

Location:Remote

Job Type:Internship

Salary Range:10K

About the Role

Were looking for aBackend Developerwith a strong understanding ofdata security best practicesand hands-on experience or working knowledge ofFlutter, Youll play a crucial role in building secure and scalable APIs, designing secure data flows, and collaborating with our front-end Flutter & Swift team to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement secure and scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Ensure properauthentication,authorisation,data encryption, andsecure storageof sensitive information.
- Work closely with Flutter developers & Swift developersto integrate frontend features with backend services.
- Perform regularsecurity audits, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with DevOps and product teams to deploy and monitor secure backend services.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Maintain database schemas and optimise data access and performance.

Required Skills

- Strong foundation indata securityconcepts (e.g. encryption, hashing, secure protocols, OWASP practices).
- Proficiency inbackend developmentusingNode.js,Python (FastAPI/Django),Go, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Swift, Flutter, especially in the context of full-stack collaboration.
- Experience withRESTful APIsandauthentication mechanisms(OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
- Understanding ofSQLand/orNoSQL databases.
- Knowledge ofCI/CD pipelines,Docker, and basic cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, etc.).

Good to Have

- Experience withSwift & Flutter backend integration.
- Awareness ofGDPR,HIPAA, or other data privacy regulations.
- Familiarity withGraphQL,WebSockets, or real-time data systems.
