Job Description Key Responsibilities - Independently handle entire Steam Turbine Erection & Commissioning scope without supervision. - Plan & execute turbine, gearbox, generator placement, precision alignment & TG train final alignment. - Lead foundation readiness, sole plate levelling, blue matching, grouting & deck preparation. - Manage auxiliary equipment erection: - Lube oil systems - OHT, GSC, coolers, filter skids - Steam & drain piping - Ensure quality control for fabrication, welding, NDT, pressure testing & alignment documentation. - Execute mechanical pre-commissioning: - MOT cleaning - Oil flushing - Line normalization - Bearing inspection - Lead commissioning activities: - Barring gear - Vacuum pulling - Steam admission & no-load test - Synchronisation & load trials - Coordinate with electrical, I&C, client teams & contractors. - Handle daily reporting, planning, manpower allocation & technical troubleshooting. - Ensure project completion within timeline (96-mandays model) with zero rework. Required Skills - Strong independent handling of Siemens / Triveni / BHEL turbine projects. - Expertise in alignment tools, vibration issues, coupling, QA/QC and site management. - Ability to lead teams of 1530 manpower. - Excellent communication with client, documentation & problem-solving.
