Job Description JOB TITLE: Learning Technologist / LMS Administrator LOCATION: India Noida Role Purpose You will play a key role in providing technical solutions and day-to-day support in online digital education within GlobalU. This role is to work as part of the Technology department and will collaborate with all other departments focusing on the set-up up and management of online resources within GlobalU We are looking to recruit a Learning Technologist in the making. Here at GlobalU, we like to lead by example and would like to open this role to a can-do personality willing to utilise the tools at their disposal in the best way possible. This role aims to have a fully-fledged Learning Technologist who will ensure that our virtual learning environment system infrastructure and resources are evaluated, deployed, and supported at the highest quality. You will have knowledge or exposure to a Learning Management system and online educational tools. In addition, you will be able to meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, and manage your own workload. The successful applicant will be self-driven, curious about educational technology, always ready to support all users and develop on personal skills, while always upholding GlobalU's core values such as Always Wanting to Learn and Improve. ROLE And RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage the day-to-day functions of the Learning Management System (LMS) ensuring the system is working properly. This includes maintaining system-level functions, individual courses, briefing course admins about platform changes, training new course admins, etc. - Administer the LMS, including user accounts, courses, and programme structures. - You will be responsible to ensure minimum requirements are met. - Work with other departments such as the Design team, Content team and the Academic faculty - Run reports and analyse the platform and course-level data to identify and act on usage insights. - Knowledge or understanding of html, CSS, PHP, Java and SQL languages. - Become an in-house expert on GlobalU and its configuration. - Provide practical support for staff using digital technologies as part of their teaching and assessment e.g., Turnitin, Zoom and other online tools. - Stay relevant on recent and upcoming platform improvements. - Support the in-house teams with first line IT queries - Lease with the local IT team to resolve ad-hoc issues and communicate with the UK team. - Support online students queries via our online helpdesk system. Essential Skills And Experience - Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Work experience: Relevant experience in LMS management or technology support driven roles with a key aspect on end user interaction. - Familiar with recognised e-learning technical standards, e.g., SCORM. - Effective communication and organizational skills - Demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter - Team player - Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Desirable skills: Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint in higher education.
