Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Title: L3 Server Engineer (On-Prem, Cloud & Server Security) Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Server Engineer to join our team. This role demands deep expertise in server infrastructure, cloud technologies, and a solid understanding of security best practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting complex server issues, implementing and maintaining cloud solutions, and ensuring the security and hardening of server environments. This role involves both internal IT operations as well as handling external customers. Key Responsibilities: - Advanced Troubleshooting: - Diagnose and resolve complex server issues (hardware, software, and configuration) across on-premises and cloud environments. - Provide escalation support for L1 and L2 server engineers. - Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents. - Cloud Infrastructure Management: - Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based server infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or other relevant platforms). - Manage and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. - Ensure smooth migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud. - Security & Hardening: - Implement and enforce security policies and procedures for server environments. - Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. - Harden server configurations to mitigate security risks. - Stay informed about emerging security threats and apply relevant patches and updates. - Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: - Create and maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. - Mentor and train other team members on server technologies and security practices. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience: - 7+ years of experience as a Server Engineer, Systems Administrator, or a similar role. - Proven track record of troubleshooting complex server issues in production environments. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.). - Demonstrable experience with server security and hardening techniques. - Must have handled external customers independently and must be willing to work in shifts for 24x7 operations. - Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in ISO 27001 certified organizations - Certifications: - Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable. - Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are a plus. - Knowledge of security related software like Okta, Zscaler etc. Technical Skills: - Operating Systems: Deep understanding of Windows Server, Linux (various distributions). - Cloud Technologies: Expertise in cloud infrastructure, services, and security. - Networking: Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and load balancing. - Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation. - Security Tools: Experience with vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions. · Preference will be given to candidates having working knowledge of Okta/ Zscaler user configurations Soft Skills: - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
