Role Description

- The sLimits application development team is part of a large-scale transformation projects in areas of Payments, Core Banking and Liquidity Management.
- This involves renovation of the application landscape, building modular architecture, delivering new products and services, and creating foundation for new business/revenue models.
- The primary objective for sLimits is to mitigate risks associated with the release of funds by implementing advanced technological solutions.
- The project leverages modern technology (Micro-Service, Google Cloud Platform) and follows an agile Scrum process to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
- We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with exceptional technical and analytical skills to join our delivery team for this strategic project. Following agile scrum practices you will design, plan and develop the automated test framework and tests and thereby help to maintain code quality, organization, and test coverage of the user interface and backend services.

Your key responsibilities

- Take a lead role in the creation and maintenance of an advances automated framework and test bed.
- With focus on the test requirements, you will follow Agile (Scrum) development practices as part of the delivery liefcycle, analyse user stories, take part in requirements analysis and actively engage in sprint ceremonies.
- Implement QA practices including test case preparation, test data identification and setup, creation and maintenance of automated tests for both UI components and backend services.
- Engage with technical architects, business analysts, developers and product team to promote system enhancements.
- Take a leading role in the design and implementation of the test automation architecture and framework. Provide technical support for the infrastructure components.
- Continuously monitor and improve functional and technical performance of test automation. Participate in the entire test cycle including execution, especially in System Integration Testing (SIT) and assist User Acceptance testing (UAT) with key focus on Core Banking modules and Payment flows.
- Actively participate in issue resolutions via QA practices in targeting defects. Provide thorough documentation and maintenance of Test Evidence, using tools such as Confluence, JIRA and HP ALM, as part of the SDLC process.
- Track and report test progress, including automation, to project management and delivery team.

Your skills and experience

- Extensive professional testing skills at all levels and types, with hands-on experience of test automation creation and execution.
- Exposure to working with a diverse world-wide team will be of benefit. Design and hands-on development, at a senior level, of an automation test framework using modern technology for complex banking applications.
- Ability to adapt and upskill to keep in line with the technological advancements in this area.
- Exposure to the latest technologies including Java 17, JUnit, Maven, Selenium WebDriver, REST API, RDMS (Oracle), Kafka using tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, SQL Developer, Fabric-DAP Console, Jenkins, Maven, Postman, Open Shift, Kubernetes including knowledge of Micro-Services and Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands on experience of BDD- Cucumber Framework or similar is essential. Experience of working in all forms of software development life cycle teams. Good knowledge of banking business flows especially in the payment domain will be an advantage.
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented and creative abilities.
- Demonstrate high performance and productivity focus, be highly efficient, organized in managing tasks.
