Amazon has come a long way since opening on the World Wide Web in July 1995 Today we operate retail websites in multiple countries across geographies offering products in many categories books media digital electronics etc worldwide and we still like to work hard have fun and make history The Amazon com brand has become synonymous with a superior level of convenience selection low prices and customer service The Last Mile Planning team within the LMT organization is at the heart of our growing logistics network at Amazon We build all the software that creates efficient route station and capacity plans that operations uses to deliver billions of packages that Amazon customers order worldwide right up to their doorsteps We re challenged to constantly improve and innovate on our vehicle routing planning software and tools to better support fast delivery to customers The technology innovations that are developed by the Last Mile Technology team scale our growing network and include a wide breadth of solutions from ML and operations research-based routing and planning algorithms our own in-house maps and navigation platform IoT and hardware innovations doorstep delivery experience and the consumer grade native mobile apps that brings all these experiences together The Pre Station Planning Technology team is one of the critical teams supporting and enabling Last Mile operations for Amazon Worldwide We build software for demand forecasting capacity planning jurisdiction and topology management and fleet planning among other areas All of these services help estimate the precise number of stations vehicles drivers and routes to deliver billions of packages to customers worldwide and have a high impact on cost as well as deliver efficiency We are looking for a SDE with exceptional technical skills and a passion for delivering great software to join our team As a member of this team you will be responsible to own and deliver highly visible innovative projects that directly impact the customer experience You will be involved in driving the technical and architectural vision for a planning team that touches every Amazon package as well as all the aspects of the software development cycle including scoping design implementation testing delivery of our product BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2 years of non-internship design or architecture design patterns reliability and scaling of new and existing systems experience - 3 years of Video Games Industry supporting title Development Release or Live Ops experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience - Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
