Role Overview

As a Workday Extend Architect, you'll lead the design, development, and deployment ofWorkday Extend and Built on Workday applications. You'll work closely with our product team to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that integrate seamlessly with Workday's platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday Extend applications and integrations.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality applications.
- Architect scalable Extend frameworks using PMD scripting, orchestrations, Studio, and custom components.
- Guide solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and compliance requirements.
- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in SDLC, Agile, and Application Lifecycle Management.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integrations and reporting.
- Stay informed on emerging Workday capabilities, SaaS trends, and technology design patterns to drive innovation.
- Contribute to internal communities of practice, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 35+ years of Workday implementation experience, including at least 2+ years hands-on with Workday Extend.
- Workday Extend Certification strongly preferred; Workday Studio, Orchestrate, HCM/FINs certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience with web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, API-first architecture).
- Strong background in integration development (EIB, middleware, or custom APIs).
- Familiarity with Workday business processes, HCM, Finance, or Supply Chain functional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to lead design sessions, manage stakeholders, and deliver technical solutions to production.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Consulting background and/or higher education, government, or enterprise SaaS experience is a plus
