Job Description

The Merchandiser at Aza Fashions will be responsible for overseeing product displays, analyzing sales trends, and collaborating with designers and inventory teams to create an exceptional in-store and online shopping experience. The role involves managing inventory efficiently, planning promotional activities, and ensuring that each designer&aposs collection aligns with customer preferences and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Analysis and Trend Monitoring:

- Analyze sales patterns and customer buying trends, both in-store and online, to identify emerging trends and demand.
- Review historical sales data to forecast future needs and adjust product offerings accordingly.
- Provide detailed reports on sales performance, product movements, and consumer preferences to optimize merchandise decisions.

Designer Collaboration and Onboarding:

- Responsible for end-to-end onboarding of designers, ensuring alignment with the company&aposs vision and product standards.
- Coordinate with designers to plan yearly collections based on seasonal requirements, store aesthetics, and customer preferences.
- Ensure designers collections are delivered within agreed timelines and in accordance with sales forecasts.

Collection Planning and Inventory Management:

- Work closely with designers to create collection plans that meet seasonal trends and store-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to guarantee optimal stock levels, minimizing overstock or stockouts.
- Regularly monitor inventory, ensuring accurate stock tagging, quality checks, and returns processing.
- Conduct regular stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure stock integrity.

Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation:

- Develop and implement visually appealing and strategically organized merchandise displays in-store and online.
- Ensure all products are displayed in an attractive and customer-friendly manner to maximize sales and create a positive shopping experience.
- Ensure consistency of branding and visual guidelines across all store locations and digital platforms.

Promotions and Marketing Coordination:

- Plan and execute promotional activities for allocated designers in close collaboration with the marketing team.
- Strategize seasonal sales campaigns, discounts, and special offers to drive footfall and increase conversion rates.
- Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and sales events, adjusting strategies based on customer feedback and sales data.

Client Orders, Alterations, and Issue Resolution:

- Oversee client orders, alterations, and custom requests, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Serve as a mentor to junior merchandisers and assist in resolving client issues or chaotic situations related to product orders.
- Provide guidance to the team to ensure efficient handling of customer queries, returns, and exchanges.

Operational Efficiency:

- Take ownership of operational efficiency by ensuring smooth day-to-day management of all merchandising-related activities.
- Monitor and improve processes to enhance overall sales performance and optimize inventory turnover.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the inventory team, ensuring effective coordination between all teams to streamline product tagging, quality checks, and returns.
- Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, and execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4 to 8 years) in merchandising, retail, or fashion-related industries, preferably within luxury fashion or similar settings.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, inventory management, and visual merchandising techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- A creative mindset with a keen eye for visual merchandising and product presentation.
- Ability to mentor and guide a team to achieve common goals.
