Communication Associate

About the Role - This is a Full Time Opportunity based in Pune We are looking for a dynamic and passionate team member to on board as the Communications Associate who will mainly responsible for developing and managing the communications for the organisation by managing content and serving a key role in driving up the visibility of VigyanShaala - By producing and collecting dynamic content through photos videos and compelling stories they must generate a communication pipeline with external stakeholders This position requires a creative outlook the ability to produce and coordinate content on tight deadlines and the maintenance of complex systems and schedules Those with a strong background in social media multimedia production and or international development will be given preference - At VigyanShaala we want all our FTEs to dream The dream for this role is to inspire people through stories to be part of our mission of community transformation in the long term by infusing technological innovation scientific temperament and state of the art STEM in the community The Path to the Dream would require the following actions you may have to take Key Responsibilities- Work with the team to formulate the Communication strategy for external communications - Develop narrative and messages that reflect the core aims of VigyanShaala s programs and creating strategic presentations or documents external stakeholders - Plan and coordinate an editorial calendar to create a pipeline of content including collaterals reports articles op-eds press releases newsletter and blogs Draft edit proofread and commission materials as appropriate - Maintain communications with key stakeholders through regular mailings and newsletters- Produce high-quality well-written and visually appealing content to influence audiences donors partners and government agencies Content may include blogs articles infographics media articles case studies opinion editorials policy briefs videos social media content and interactive reports - Maintain a detailed understanding of the programs identifying stories and a knack to leverage program data for storytelling around key developments for dissemination- Continuously build communications assets including a photo story and video bank for use in program resources and fundraising efforts- Conceptualize and execute compelling social and digital campaigns s including planning and distribution of multimedia content such as podcasts and videos- Measure analyze and document the success and impact of the Programs social media pages and campaigns Develop goals and metrics to measure analyze and optimize the effectiveness of digital strategy via web analytics- Support Fundraising campaigns - Create kits for social media and other forms of Communication to raise awareness and reach of the campaign- Research and identify thematic gaps and conduct needs assessment where required - Support management of the website agency design agency or any other communications agency required for Communications tasks throughout the year Communications Strategy - Develop and execute a strategic communications plan aligned with our organizational objectives for all active programs and projects - Collaborate with team to identify communication opportunities and proactively address challenges - Conceptualize and implement the organization s communications plan including the creation and dissemination of knowledge collaterals and achievements - Prepare an editorial calendar and manage content for our digital platforms including website updates blogs newsletters videos and social media channels - Manage and update VigyanShaala s brand assets and toolkit regularly - Develop and execute a strategic communications plan aligned with our organizational objectives for all active programs and projects - Collaborate with team to identify communication opportunities and proactively address challenges - Conceptualize and implement the organization s communications plan including the creation and dissemination of knowledge collaterals and achievements - Prepare an editorial calendar and manage content for our digital platforms including website updates blogs newsletters videos and social media channels - Manage and update VigyanShaala s brand assets and toolkit regularly Communications Operations - Generate engaging content such as blogs videos articles and newsletters for internal and external audiences - Build strategic relationships with media outlets and key influencers - Evaluate and implement innovative communication tools and methods to enhance content engagement and message effectiveness - Oversee the prioritization and delivery of all communications activities including press and PR print digital and stakeholder relationship management - Collaborate with teams to establish communication frameworks for delivery partners including reporting and evaluation measures - Coordinate with external agencies for website design development maintenance and marketing materialsRequired Qualifications - Post-graduate degree in Communication or Management with a social sector background - 3 to 5 years of experience with a proven track record in communications influencer outreach and public relations Required Skills and Abilities - Experience in team management and growth - Genuine interest in the social enterprise sector - Proficiency in English and intermediate proficiency in Hindi - Ability to create content using tools like Canva Microsoft Presentation Word and Publisher - Basic knowledge of video editing software - Self-driven and proactive with the ability to work independently - Strong written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills - Excellent planning organizational and time management skills Reporting The position will directly report to the Fundraising and Partnership Associate and to the CEO Dr Darshana Joshi Functional reporting on certain tasks might rest with programmatic heads or Lead Program and Curriculum Development What we offer -
