The individual will work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL, while implementing ETL processes using tools like Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). This role requires strong SQL skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on data quality and performance. What You'll Do - Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and software systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements. - Implement ETL processes using tools such as Ab Initio or ODI. - Work with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL. - Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems. - Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and system issues. Who You Are - 2-4 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proficient in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL. - Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or ODI. - Strong knowledge of Unix and SQL/Teradata. - Exposure to Python is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communicator and team collaborator. - Adaptable and proactive in dynamic environments.
