Experience - 1 to 2 years in fund raising/ equity based fund raising, financial modelling, etc.
Primary Purpose
An equity fundraise analyst supports the fundraising process for a company, focusing on equity investments. They analyze financial data, conduct market research, and prepare materials to attract investors. They also assist in due diligence, negotiations, and the closing of deals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis & Modeling:
2. Analyze financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) to assess company performance and financial health.
3. Develop and maintain financial models, including three-way models (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet), to support investment decisions.
4. Conduct valuation analysis and prepare materials for investor pitches.
5. Market Research & Due Diligence:
6. Research potential investors and their investment criteria.
7. Conduct due diligence on companies seeking funding, including market analysis, competitive landscape, and management quality.
8. Stay updated on market trends, industry dynamics, and regulatory changes.
9. Fundraising Support:
10. Prepare marketing materials, including information memorandums and investor presentations.
11. Assist in the end-to-end fundraising process, including due diligence, term sheet negotiations, and closing.
12. Maintain relationships with investors and other stakeholders.
13. Communication & Reporting:
14. Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress, investor communications, and investment performance.
15. Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams, management, and investors.
16. Maintain accurate records of investor information, transactions, and correspondence.
