About the Role The Designer for the Marketing Department is responsible for creating and editing engaging video content to support the organization's marketing initiatives. Responsibilities Video Production: - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video concepts and strategies that align with the overall marketing goals. - Capture and edit high-quality video footage for various marketing channels, including social media, websites, email campaigns, and more. - Experience with videography / on-site video production. - Ensure that video content maintains a consistent and on-brand style, tone, and messaging. Editing and post-production: - Edit and assemble raw footage, ensuring seamless transitions, clean audio, and compelling visuals. - Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video content. - Optimize video content for various platforms and devices, considering aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats. - Add music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance the overall viewer experience. Content Management: - Organize and maintain a library of video assets, ensuring easy access and efficient retrieval for future projects. - Collaborate with team members to manage video files, version control, and project timelines. Quality Assurance: - Review and proof video content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with branding guidelines. - Make necessary revisions and improvements based on feedback from stakeholders. Stay Current: - Keep up to date with industry trends and video editing software advancements to incorporate innovative techniques into video production. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in film production, digital media, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in a marketing or advertising environment. - Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). - Ability to work in graphic design tools like Illustrator and Photoshop proficiently. - Knowledge of motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects). - Strong storytelling and visual storytelling skills. - Excellent attention to detail and an eye for design aesthetics. - Understanding of marketing principles and the ability to convey marketing messages through video. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Skills - Experience with color correction and color grading. - Knowledge of audio editing and sound design. - Familiarity with video SEO best practices. - Basic knowledge of graphic design, 3D modelling, and animation (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, etc.)
