The Network Domain refers to the area within Information Technology that focuses on the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of an organization's ISE networking infrastructure. This domain encompasses various activities, tools, and technologies required to ensure the efficient and secure transmission of data between devices, systems, and locations. What you will do: As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional functions that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. - Implements and integrates Network Access Control (NAC) / Cisco ISE with wired data, wireless infrastructure, and VPN as well as posturing and client provisioning - Builds and analyzes ISE rules to comply with client network security policies - Writes/engineers ISE rules scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines. - Develop and manage API-based integrations with Cisco ISE, leveraging REST APIs for communication with other systems. - Write code/scripts to automate network access control processes and security policies using APIs (Python, JavaScript, etc.). - Create workflows and automate repetitive tasks like user onboarding, device management, and security policy updates. - Establishes processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized - Serves as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to associates on Network Access Control (NAC) / Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for utilizing the full capability of technology in designing effective solutions. - Makes recommendations regarding improvements to the network operations, project planning, and project implementation - Supports in the authoring and maintenance of ISE related documentation, including that for standards, processes, network security, topology, and inventory, to ensure high quality service on an ongoing basis - Demonstrates a spirit of teamwork and personal responsibility to promote the sharing of knowledge and expedite the accomplishment of assigned tasks - Implements any ISE changes during appropriate change windows (typically after hours) - Participates in on-call support rotation for Network Access Control (NAC) / ISE, to maximize network availability (after hours) All you will need for success: - Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Technology, Information Systems (CIS / MIS), Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience / training - 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments. Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS / MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training - Airline Industry experience. Skills, Licenses & Certifications: Proficiency with the following technologies: - Programming Languages: Java, Python, C#, Javascript/Typescript - Frameworks: FastAPI - Deployment Technologies: Kubernetes, Docker - Source Control: GitHub, Azure DevOps - CICD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps - Integration/APIs Technologies: REST - Cloud Providers such as Azure and AWS - Proficiency in developing API calls, scripting, and coding using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages. - Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. - Knowledge of network security protocols (RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1x). - Industry Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or Cisco Certified Specialist is desired - Demonstrated experience providing ISE policy management and control platforms for wired, wireless, and VPN users. - Demonstrated expertise with protocol analyzers (i.e. Wireshark) is desired. - Some knowledge on Cisco routers, Cisco L2/L3 switches, load balancing, QOS, VPN, NAT, VoIP, IPSec, Multicast, DNS services, MPLS networks, network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, VLAN Trunking), and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF). - Strong knowledge of Spanning-tree protocols (PVST,MSTP,RSTP) - Basic understanding of public cloud and Azure cloud networking - Experience with vulnerability management - Experience with Meraki wireless infrastructure including the associated cloud controllers, access points, and portal would be an advantage. - Previous software development experience is a plus to help drive Automation Language, Communication Skills, & Physical Abilities: - Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization - Physical ability necessary to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of the position, with or without any legally required reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue hardship.
