About The Role We are seeking an experienced WordPress Website Developer to join our dynamic team at Fincart Financial Planners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, responsive, and scalable websites that enhance our online presence. This role requires a strong technical background in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin creation, performance optimization, and SEO best practices. As a key member of our digital team, you will collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and content creators to deliver engaging and functional websites that meet our business objectives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites using WordPress (Gutenberg or Classic Editor). Customize themes and plugins or build them from scratch based on project requirements. Integrate APIs and third-party tools as needed (payment gateways, CRMs, forms, etc.). Ensure high-performance, security, and SEO optimization of WordPress websites. Troubleshoot and resolve performance, usability, and accessibility issues. Work closely with designers and backend developers to bring UI/UX designs to life. Maintain staging and production environments, version control, and backups. Qualifications Candidates should possess 4-6 years of proven experience in WordPress development, demonstrating a strong portfolio of websites built and maintained. Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL is essential. Experience with custom theme and plugin development is required, along with familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Beaver Builder. A solid understanding of the WordPress REST API and headless WordPress concepts is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable working with cPanel, FTP, SSH, and version control tools such as Git. Knowledge of SEO, core web vitals, and performance tuning is crucial, alongside a basic understanding of security best practices for WordPress. Nice To Have Experience with WooCommerce, LMS platforms like LearnDash, or multilingual setups such as WPML/Polylang. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or cloud hosting environments like Azure and AWS. Exposure to Next.js or Jamstack architecture with WordPress as a headless CMS.
