We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Kotlin or Java and advanced SQL capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, integrations, and critical SOAP-based APIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, ensure seamless data flow, and deliver high-quality backend solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and system integrations using Kotlin or Java (strong preference for Kotlin). - Work extensively with complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and relational database structures to ensure smooth and efficient data flow across applications. - Support, enhance, and troubleshoot SOAP-based APIs integral to enterprise integration layers. - Analyze, debug, and optimize existing backend logic for performance, scalability, and reliability. - Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to drive successful integration, testing, and deployment. - Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, providing clear updates, technical insights, and timely deliverables. Required Qualifications - 5–9 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role. - Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java (Kotlin highly preferred). - Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to understand, write, and debug complex SQL queries and stored procedures. - Hands-on experience working with SOAP-based APIs and related integration tools/frameworks. - Solid understanding of backend architecture, data flow design, and performance optimization. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
