Key duties and responsibilitiesAssemble components: Fit and fasten parts together using tools, adhesives, or other methods to create a complete product.Read and interpret instructions: Follow technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications to ensure correct assembly.Perform quality checks: Inspect parts and finished products to identify and resolve any functionality or quality issues.Operate machinery: Set up and operate hand-controlled or computer-controlled machinery and equipment.Maintain the work area: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe, following all safety and environmental procedures.Record data: Document production numbers, material usage, and other relevant information, often using a computer system.Package and prepare products: Pack finished items with protective materials, label them, and prepare them for shipment.
