Corporate and M&A Transactions

Position: Hiring Senior Associate - Mumbai location

PQE: 5-7 years of experience in corporate practice of a well-reputed law firm(s)

Key skills required:

- Transactional experience- M&A, private equity investments, VC funding, joint ventures, corporate commercial transactions, and strategic corporate transactions.
- Advisory experience- on corporate laws, regulatory or sectoral laws and compliance related.
- Well versed with corporate laws, including, Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) laws, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, and substantive laws for dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Able to manage assignments independently with minimum supervision.
- Up to date knowledge of current changes to law and jurisprudence.
- Able to deliver high quality work products within specified timelines including in case of tight deadlines.

Other skills:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Should be articulate.
- Ability to interact with clients confidently and with legal knowledge on a subject.
- Good team player, ability to train and coach younger associates.
- Client management.
- Analytical ability- able to analyse laws, judgements and apply the same for practical use.
- Good turnaround time, detailed oriented, willing to get to the bottom of a problem.
- Tech savvy and able to use the computer efficiently.
- High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics.
- Commercial acumen

Position: Managing Associate / Counsel - Mumbai location

PQE: Between 8-12 years of experience in corporate practice of a well-reputed law firm(s)

Key skills required:

- Has independently handled corporate transactions such as- M&A, private equity investments, VC funding, joint ventures, corporate commercial transactions, and strategic corporate transactions, HNI investments, fund investments in various industries and sectors.
- Has independently provided advise on inter alia - on corporate laws, regulatory and compliance matters and sectoral laws.
- Expert in corporate laws, including, Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) laws and regulations (including AIF regulations), Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rules and regulations, and substantive laws for dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Able to lead and manage assignments independently from start to end including negotiations with commercial acumen and provide strategic advice.
- Up to date knowledge of current changes to law and jurisprudence and has knowledge of practical aspects of transactional work.
- Able to deliver high quality work products within specified timelines including in case of tight deadlines.
