Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon, in partnership with Whole Foods Market, is seeking Software Development Engineers to build critical supply-chain technology solutions for distribution centers. This role offers the opportunity to develop end-to-end full-stack applications in Bangalore that optimize grocery retail operations through innovative AWS-native solutions.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer II, you will own end-to-end delivery of significant features while serving as a technical leader. You'll design and implement solutions using native AWS services, driving engineering best practices and mentoring team members to deliver high-quality software.

In this role, you will:
. Design and implement scalable, highly available systems using native AWS services
. Own and lead the technical delivery of major software features
. Drive technical strategy through collaboration with product teams
. Lead design reviews and provide meaningful code reviews
. Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence
. Balance customer requirements with architectural and operational needs
. Drive operational excellence and best practices for software development

About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
