Job Description Job Description Overview AtkinsRalis has an opportunity for an Apprentice to join the Rivers, Dams, Maritime & Coastal (RDMC) Design Team in Bangalore. Your role - Flood defence schemes. - Hydraulic structures (e.g., dams, weirs, gates). - Ports and maritime infrastructure - As a member of this team, you will be exposed to a broad range of engineering disciplines including river and coastal engineering, hydrology and hydraulics, and structural detailing. About you - Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. M.Tech Structures preferred. - Basic understanding of river and coastal engineering, including flood defence design and refurbishment of hydraulic structures. - Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steelwork design principles. - Awareness of health and safety considerations in design and construction. - Understanding of UK health and safety legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations 2015) is desirable. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prepare basic sketches. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. - Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Good presentational skill. - Managing own time. - Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving project needs. - Ability to follow quality procedures and maintain high standards in work.
