Job Title: Quality Engineer Automation (Playwright)

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled Quality Engineer Automation with hands-on expertise in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and modern QA practices to ensure the highest level of product quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure automation coverage for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Debug, analyze, and report test results, identifying root causes for failures.
- Contribute to test planning, test case design, and defect management.
- Maintain test documentation and ensure best practices are followed in automation.
- Stay up to date with emerging automation tools, frameworks, and QA methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience in test automation with a strong focus on Playwright.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in writing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
- Good understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with other test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright Test Runner, etc.).
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud-based test execution platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
