It has been more than 60 years since SYSTRA has garnered expertise that spans the entire spectrum of Mass Rapid Transit System SYSTRA India s valuable presence in India roots back to 1957 where SYSTRA worked on the electrification of Indian Railways Our technical excellence holistic approach and the tremendous talent provides a career that puts people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency Understand better who we are by visiting www systra in Context In India SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros High Speed Rail Railways Roads Buildings Urban planning and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations We are seeking applications for the position of Commercial Legal Manager for PMC for upcoming infrastructure development project in Gujarat Missions Main Duties Legal Contractual Management Draft review negotiate and finalize project agreements EPC design consultancy construction supplier subcontractor joint venture and partnership contracts Ensure contracts comply with relevant legal regulatory and company standards Monitor contract implementation and manage any amendments or variations Risk Management Identify and assess legal commercial risks at every phase of the project procurement construction commissioning operation Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure timely escalation of issues where necessary Compliance Advise project teams on statutory and regulatory requirements relating to land acquisition environmental impact health safety procurement and labor Ensure project activities conform to both local and international legal obligations Dispute Resolution Lead pre-litigation case assessment manage claims and variations and liaise with external counsel in case of disputes litigation or arbitration Support negotiations to resolve conflicts with clients contractors vendors and regulatory agencies Stakeholder Advisory Serve as the main contact for legal and commercial advice to project directors managers finance procurement and engineering teams Coordinate with government agencies municipalities and legal advisors Documentation Reporting Maintain complete and organized records of all legal documents contracts and correspondences Prepare regular legal risk assessments and compliance reports for the project leadership Policy Governance Develop update and implement project-specific legal procedures and best practices Deliver training to project teams on legal awareness and compliance standards as required Profile Skills Minimum of 15 years of overall experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Bachelor s in law commerce Post Graduation in Law with specialization in construction engineering law and contracts Large Infrastructure Project like Smart Cities Industrial town ships Residential Townships Hospitals SEZ Special Economic Zone Public Buildings Experience of working as Commercial Legal Manager on at least 1 large infrastructure project of value more than Rs 1000 crores We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency As we are growing this is time to be a part of this challenging adventure It s not a job - it s a career
