Role Summary

The Industrial Design Intern will support the design and development of innovative workspace greenery products, including planters, green walls, and landscaping solutions for commercial clients. This internship offers hands-on exposure to concept creation, prototyping, and product refinement in a team environment focused on sustainability and ergonomic design.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct market research on interior landscaping and plant-based products, analyzing customer needs and design trends.
- Develop creative concepts for products and solutions that align with Gamlaas vision of integrated workspace greenery
- Create detailed sketches, 2D/3D models, and CAD renderings for new product ideas using design software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assist in building physical and digital prototypes for testing and evaluation, including foam mock-ups and 3D printed models
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to understand requirements and incorporate feedback, adapting designs for manufacturability and client constraints.
- Support user testing, gather feedback, and refine products with a focus on ergonomics, sustainability, and brand alignment.
- Prepare technical drawings, blueprints, presentations, and documentation for internal reviews and client pitches.
- Ensure all design work meets company quality standards, deadlines, and guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
- Strong sketching, modeling, visualization, and rendering skills.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD).
- Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomic principles.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for sustainable product development and workspace wellbeing
