Job Description Description We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgery Coder to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding with a focus on orthopedic procedures, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities - Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes for orthopedic procedures. - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain high standards of accuracy. - Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and medical staff to clarify documentation and coding queries. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates, changes in regulations, and billing practices related to orthopedic surgery. - Participate in coding audits and contribute to quality assurance initiatives. - Provide training and support to junior coding staff as required. Skills and Qualifications - 2-8 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in orthopedic surgery. - Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. - Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy related to orthopedic procedures. - Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software. - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is preferred.
