Job Description Join us as a Trade Specialist at Barclays where you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day Trade and Working Capital initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise. Your role will involve in taking responsibility for client service and operational execution task. To be successful as a Trade Specialist, you should have: - Working experience in Trade Operations preferably in Guarantees. - Certification of CSDG or similar is preferred. - Strong understanding of ICC rules such as URDG / ISP / UCP as appropriate to the sub-domain that the candidate is expected to manage. - Strong awareness of AML and sanctions screening procedures in Trade. - Familiar with Operating Systems (Windows 98/95/2000/NT). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include - Thorough knowledge in Bank Guarantees. - MS Office Application Suite (Preferably Word, Excel & PowerPoint). You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. The role is based out of Chennai. Purpose of the role To support Trade and Working Capital with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. Accountabilities - Support with day-to-day Trade and Working Capital initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise. - Monitoring the banks Trade and Working Capital operations to ensure that they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards. - Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Trade and Working Capital processes. - Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Trade and Working Capital processes. - Development and implementation of Trade and Working Capital procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency. - Development of reports and presentations on Trade and Working Capital performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders. - Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Trade and Working Capital Services. - Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Trade and Working Capital efficiency and effectiveness.
