Job Description Internal Opportunity: Data Analyst Data Science Track Location: Bangalore Team: Data Science Band: 2 About The Role - We are looking for a proactive and analytical professional to join our Data Science team as a Data Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with foundational data analysis and statistical skills who is eager to apply them in a dynamic business environment. Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry is a strong plus. - You will work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver insights that drive operational efficiency and improve decision-making. This is an opportunity to grow your analytics expertise while contributing to impactful projects. Key Responsibilities - Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. - Build and maintain queries for data extraction and reporting. - Collaborate with data scientists and business teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions. - Prepare and validate datasets for analysis and stakeholder use. - Apply statistical techniques to solve business problems and monitor performance. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the data science team. - Support basic data science tasks, such as feature engineering, model evaluation, and exploratory data analysis under guidance. - Ensure awareness and compliance with AI-related regulations and assist in maintaining required legal documentation for data and model governance. What We're Looking For - Basic to intermediate proficiency in statistical concepts (e.g., distributions, correlations, hypothesis testing) is a must. - Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL, Excel and Python is a must. - Familiarity with data science concepts such as supervised vs. unsupervised learning, model performance metrics, and data preprocessing is a must. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. - Awareness of AI regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in data usage is a strong plus. - Experience in healthcare or insurance industry is a plus, but not mandatory. - 12 years of experience in data analysis or a related role is a plus, but not mandatory. - Curiosity and willingness to learn advanced analytics and data science techniques.
