Trade Support & Execution Assist senior traders with order entry and trade execution in simulated or live trading environments. Help manage trading blotters and ensure trades are properly recorded and reconciled. Support the team in managing trade lifecycle processes, including pre-trade analysis and post-trade reporting. 3. Risk Management Observe and understand risk metrics such as Value at Risk (VaR), Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega, Rho), and margin requirements. Help assess and monitor the risk exposure of open positions. Learn how to apply hedging strategies using derivatives to manage risk. 4. Strategy Development Work on the development, backtesting, and evaluation of quantitative trading strategies. Collaborate with analysts and quants to refine trading algorithms and models. Use programming and statistical tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Excel/VBA) to test trading ideas. 5. Research & Reporting Prepare daily or weekly market commentary and trading summaries. Conduct research on macroeconomic indicators, corporate earnings, geopolitical events, and their impact on derivatives markets. Present findings to trading teams or during desk meetings. 6. Technical & System Support Learn to use trading platforms and market data terminals such as Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon, or proprietary systems. Assist with the configuration and testing of internal tools used for trade execution, strategy modeling, or reporting.
